Covid-19 | Telehealth & Face-To-Face Psychology Services
Despite the current restrictions and social distancing rules due to the Covid-19 coronavirus situation, psychological services remain listed as an ‘essential health service’ by the government.
In these uncertain and rapidly changing times, it is critically important that our communities maintain a healthy state of mental and emotional well-being, and there are a multitude of ways in which talking to someone during this time may be able to greatly assist you or your loved ones to improve their mental health and well-being.
To support the community with this, our Centre’s own Psychologist – Lian Vandenberg – will be providing Medicare bulk billed telehealth consultations from 30th March to 30th September 2020.
This will be in addition to continuing to provide face-to-face psychological consultations where needed.
Bulk billed telehealth consultations will be available for clients who have a GP Mental Health Care Plan/Specialist referral AND for clients who meet the Government’s eligibility requirements for COVID-19 and also have a GP Mental Health Care Plan/Specialist referral.
Clients not eligible for Medicare-funded services can still self-refer.
Private health insurance companies may cover some of the cost of telehealth consultations from 30th March to 30th September 2020, so please check with your provider.
If you would like further information about eligibility for telehealth psychological services or to make an appointment, please call the Centre’s reception on (03) 9372 0499.
The Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre continues to implement the highest standards of hygiene practices and social distancing measures are in place to ensure the best possible safety and well-being for our clients and staff.
